Sansum Diabetes Research Institute (SDRI) will host the Gratitude Gala; Celebrating 100 Years of Insulin, presented by The Paskin Family Foundation. The benefit will be Saturday, Sept 10 at the outside rotunda of the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort.
This year, SDRI said it is grateful that its founder, diabetes specialist Dr. William Sansum, was the first physician in the United States to manufacture and administer insulin in the treatment of diabetes, in Santa Barbara, on May 31, 1922.
