Greetings! As we enter the season of Thanksgiving and pause momentarily to reflect on the last year, I wanted to reach out to share an update on another momentous year at SDRI marked by achievements and contributions spanning innovative research, high-quality education, and compassionate care for our community members impacted by diabetes.
The following pages contain highlights illustrating the work we are doing to accelerate breakthroughs in diabetes research, advance treatments for diabetes during pregnancy, and address health equity for underrepresented populations impacted by diabetes. A significant milestone this year took place in October when our construction team broke ground on our 18,000-square-foot building renovation project. This initiative will create a state-of-the-art facility for conducting groundbreaking research, clinical care services, and impactful education programs.
