Our mission is clear: to empower individuals living with diabetes by providing the tools, knowledge, and support they need to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. Our multidisciplinary approach integrates cutting-edge research, diabetes education, and innovative patient care.
OneTalk Program
OneTalk is a support group where participants share their ideas, experiences, and explore ways to enhance their health and lifestyle. Our sharing sessions are offered for both individuals living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and caregivers impacted by T1D.
OneTalk also provides presentation style sessions where participants have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field of T1D. OneTalk is held on a monthly basis at SDRI and is offered in person and via Zoom.
OneTalk Device Night offers attendees hands-on experience the latest innovations from Medtronic, Omnipod, Dexcom, Tandem, and Abbott.
LADATalk
LADATalk is for those impacted by Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA) and offers insights, connections, and up-to-date information on clinical research trials from SDRI’s clinical research team. This program is held on a monthly basis at SDRI and is offered in person and via Zoom.
Family Outreach Events
Family Outreach Events are quarterly events to support the diabetes community, where families connect with others living with type 1 diabetes, share experiences, and learn about current clinical trials from SDRI’s clinical research team.

Returning to School with Diabetes Town Hall Event
This is an annual virtual webinar, hosted with the American Diabetes Association and Breakthrough T1D. It brings together top diabetes experts to help parents and children confidently navigate their diabetes and school. This annual event has reached nearly 5,000 people since it began in 2020.
